Progress in development of highly productive varieties of peas, which has outlined in the last quarter of XX century, is connected with allocation and introgression of recessive mutant genes. Breeders more often use growth mutations among of which, forms with determinate growth type were allocated. The short description of Samara, Moscow and Lugansk models of determination was given. In 1991, in the All-Russia Research Institute of Legumes and Groat Crops, on the basis of a determinate sample of Lugansk model, V.N. Uvarov received new morphotype - lupinoid. The research on testing of lupinoid LU-268-996 sample was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in selection crop rotation in the Research and Practical Centre of National Academy of Science of Belarus for Arable Farming in 2011-2012. Morphological features of the sample were described in detail. By the results of biannual researches, the characteristic of LU-268-996 was given: sample was early ripening, medium-sized, inclined to lodging. High protein content in grain was peculiar for it. Genes modifiers of stalk fasciation considerably influence on the structure of fructification zone of this lupinoid sample.
