In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was presented the survey of references on the questions connected with a selection and an assessment of optimal cultivar and stock combinations of cherry and sweet cherry by using clone rootstocks. It has been revealed, that scientifically reasonable selection of cultivar and stock combinations plays exclusively an important role in getting of high and stable crops of these cultures. It is a determinant factor for planting intensive orchards. Clone stocks thus allow to model trees of these cultivars with certain properties necessary for concrete region of their cultivation. Economic beneficial signs and properties of introduced stocks in nurseries have been analyzed. Also there have been considered cultivars with which potential and properties of these stocks are most fully realized.
