The Tugro disease which was spread by ephottetix virescens was one of the causes of the stability of Indonesian rice production. The resistant varieties can be obtained by the controlling components which are effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly. The high yielding varieties, which are resistant to green leafhopper and tungro virus, and also preferred by farmer, are provided in the limited number. The varieties assembly, with using a source of Tungro resistant parental varieties and the most preferred varieties, was conducted to obtain the location-specific resistant varieties. Hence, the lines experiment in tugro-endemic area should be conducted to obtain the resistant varieties. The research was conducted in the experimental station Lolittungro. The research was divided into two steps such as greenhouse and field examinations. The sustainability of 181ines/varieties from tungro isolation was observed with using test tube method. The performances of tungro-resistant lines were observed with using augmented design. The observation conducted in the greenhouse indicated that two lines which did not show the symptoms after it was inoculated by three tungro virus isolation, namely BP3932A-12-LRG-2-1-3B196-3 and BP3940A-9-LRG-10-6-18-B522-2. Meanwhile, the field observation indicated that eight lines showed the high yield potential and stable performance. The eight lines were BP3946A-1-LRG-2-1-14-B11119-1, P3940A-9-LRG-10-6-18-B5222-2, BP3932A-12-LRG-2-1-3B196-3, BP3944A-13LRG-5-3-17-B990-3,BP3954A-10-LRG-9-1-11-B1435-1,BP3954A-10-LRG-9-1-11-B1435-1, BP3954A-10-LRG-5-6-18-B1398-2, BP3942A-4-LRG-10-10-17-3-B598-3, and BP3954A-10-LRG-8-2-17-B1416-5.
