Developing of the nitrogen fertilizer application regulations it is important to properly evaluate the soil nitrogen resources - exactly that nutrient part during growing season will be available in the form of plants. In researches (Curtin, Campbell, 2008) found that the nitrogen supply is best characterized by labile organic nitrogen-containing compounds in the soil, i.e., the soil organic matter component that is not physically linked to the soil and the easiest submit to microbiological processes exposure. However, the quantitative determination has not found wide application. Lately, more often in evaluation of crop nitrogen security is practiced the determination of soil mineral nitrogen stock. Crop nitrogen fertilizer recommendation system can be divided into 3 groups: 1) recommendations based mainly on soil analyses, 2) recommendations based on plant analysis, 3) recommendations based on simulation models. Nitrogen fertilizer recommendation should take the soil mineral nitrogen stocks and the dynamics during the growing season. This would enable the rational and efficient use of nitrogen resources, as well as to prevent the formation of the unused nitrogen accumulation in the soil, posing a potential risk of environment pollution.
