Implications of beam effects in the reproductive system of male rats of 1st generation received from female irradiated with a dose of 0.5 Gy

During the research of the consequences of radioactive irradiation on the progeny, the problems of deterioration of chromosome complement of sexual and somatic cells along with development anomalies cause a serious scientific interest. Investigation of somatic deviations from the norm in future generations of animals, born from irradiated parents, appears the main goal of the research. The results of studies of the reproductive system of male rats obtained from irradiated at a dose of 0.5 Gy females and intact males are presented. Changes in body weight, absolute and relative mass of spermarium and epididymis of male rats, born from irradiated mothers in different age periods are analyzed. Variations of some quantitative and qualitative characteristics of spermatozoids, separated out of epididymis of experimental male rats are measured. It is shown that in experimental animals revealed a number of deviations of the studied parameters of the reproductive system, which are treated as long-term consequences of irradiation of females.
Mostrar más [+] Menos [-]Ruso. Изучали состояние репродуктивной системы крыс-самцов 1-го поколения, полученного от облученных в дозе 0,5 Гр самок и необлученных самцов. Установлено, что последствия облучения самок в указанных дозах проявляется у экспериментальных животных в снижении количества родившихся животных, падении абсолютной и относительной массы семенников (особенно значительно у 4-месячных животных) и эпидидимисов (2 мес), угнетении процесса сперматогенеза на стадиях от сперматоцитов 1-го порядка до продолговатых сперматид включительно, повышении числа удлиненных сперматид, изменении количественных и качественных характеристик эпидидимальных сперматозоидов (количество, жизнеспособность, продукция активных форм кислорода, индекс фрагментации ДНК). Причины этих изменений связаны с дестабилизацией наследственных структур у облученных самок, что в дальнейшем отражается на постнатальном развитии крыс-самцов 1-го поколения.
