Assessment of the results of the introduction of ferns and the prospects of their use in gardening

Приведены результаты интродукции 18 видов и сортов папоротников открытого грунта в Центральном ботаническом саду НАН Беларуси. Исследованы особенности сезонного роста и развития, оценены декоративные качества и степень устойчивости растений. Цель нашей работы - формирование коллекции декоративных папоротников для открытого грунта, сравнительное изучение их роста и развития, комплексная оценка и отбор по ее результатам видов, перспективных для зеленого строительства в республике. Коллекция папоротников открытого грунта в ЦБС НАН Беларуси целенаправленно формируется с 2005 г. Новые виды и сорта получали из других ботанических садов, некоторые виды привезены из мест естественного произрастания (украинские Карпаты, Беларусь). На основании комплексной оценки выделены 7 таксонов, перспективных для зеленого строительства республики.

Inglés. Development of the green building of the urban areas requires enrichment of plant assortment with new varieties. Ferns appear a good representatives of ornamental plants used for landscape design. The main goal of the research appears formation of the collection of decorative ferns for open ground, comparative evaluation of their growth and development, comprehensive estimation and selection of the species, advantageous for green building of the Republic of Belarus. The most important characteristics of species and varieties of ferns and their biological peculiarities are analyzed. Evaluation of the results of intriduction and prospectivity of ferns&#039

Ruso. cultivation is suggested. The results of studying of height and development of 18 species and cultivars of the ferns introduced into Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are presented. Seven decorative species recommended for green construction of the Republic of Belarus are allocated.
