Salicylic acid and reactive oxygen species content in leaves of barley (Hordeum vulgare) at salicylates treatments

Исследовано изменение эндогенного пула салицилатов в листьях ячменя при обработке семян и проростков салициловой кислотой (СК) и ее производными: 3,5-динитросалициловой кислотой, этилсалицилатом и фенилсалицилатом (10-5М). Показано, что этилсалицилат более чем в 2 раза повышал общее содержание СК в листьях, при этом замачивание семян на растворе приводило к ингибированию роста проростков и существенному увеличению содержания АФК в листьях. При действии экзогенной СК, 3,5-динитросалициловой кислоты и фенилсалицилата происходило умеренное возрастание пула салицилатов (от 20 до 34 %). Обсуждается возможность использования СК и фенилсалицилата в качестве индукторов системной устойчивости растений ячменя путем повышения эндогенной СК.

Inglés. Salicylic acid (SA), representing phyto-hormone and endogenous signal intermediate, appears stress metabolite and induces system resistance of plants. Application of preparations containing salicylic acid and its’ derivatives appears a perspective method of plant resistance to injurious factors. The article analyzes the influence of exogenous salicylic acid on general content of endogenous SA and composition of reactive oxygen species in leaves of barley (Hordeum vulgare). The change of endogenous pool of salicylates in barley leaves after seed and seedling treatments with salicylic acid and its derivatives: 3.5-dinitrosalicylic acid, ethyl salicylate and phenyl salicylate (10-5 M) has been investigated. Ethyl salicylate more than twice increases total SA content in leaves, moreover, seeds soaking in this solution leads to seedling growth inhibition and significant increase of reactive oxygen species content in leaves. Exogenous salicylic acid, 3.5-dinitrosalicylic acid and phenyl salicylate increases endogenous pool of salicylates in modern level (20 to 34%). The possibility of using salicylic acid and phenyl salicylate as inductors of systemic resistance in barley plants through increasing of endogenous salicylic acid is discussed.
