The study focused on effect of different rates of nitrogen and organic fertilizer application on yield and economic benefits of NSIC Rc23 under aerobic production system. This enabled farmers to determine the best rate of nitrogen fertilizer with organic fertilizer application that results to yield increase, reduce fertilizer costs, thus, increasing net income. This study conducted on wet season of 2015 at RET Experimental Farm, Central Luzon State University, Science City of Mu├▒oz, Nueva Ecija [Philippines] following a split plot experiment Randomized Complete Block Design where, with and without organic fertilizer application were the main plots and eight rates of nitrogen fertilizer were the subplots. Results of the study showed that application of 1 t/ha organic fertilizer increased the number of productive tillers per linear meter and number of total spikelets per panicle while no additional benefit was observed on other yield parameters due to small amount of nutrient contribution. On the other hand, different rates of nitrogen fertilizer significantly increased the growth and yield parameters such as plant height, productive tillers per linear meter, number of total spikelets per panicle, percentage filled spikelets, 1000 grain weight and grain yield. As level of applied nitrogen increased from 0 to 120 kg N/ha, grain yield increased. However, further addition of nitrogen fertilizer from 150 to 210 kg N/ha resulted to decline on yield of NSIC Rc23. Highest yield was recorded from plants applied with 120 kg N/ha of 5.5 t/ha due to long panicle, high percentage filled spikelets and heavy weight of 1000 grains. Positive return on expenses was realized on plants without application of organic fertilizer at 90 kg N/ha with 3.2%. Plants with organic fertilizer resulted to negative return on expenses due to high organic fertilizer costs.
