The experiment were conducted in spring and winter season in 2013 year in Tuyen Quang with 5 new corn hybrid and one control variety. Experimental results showed that growing period of researched cultivars ranged from 105 to 115 days (in both seasons), belonged to group of average growing time. The maize cultivars have high plant height, corn-cob making height and the achieving ratio between these norms were optimal; number of leaves and leaf area index were fairly good, in which SSC10474 had high appreciation. All cultivars were slightly infected by European corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis Hubner), armyworm (Leucania separata Walker) (level 1 - 3) and sheath blight disease (Rhizoctonia Solani Kuhn), whereas SSC10474 maize cultivar had the best resistance. Actual yield of cultivars ranged from 4.93 in 6.89 tons/ha (Spring season) and from 6.08 to 7,16 tons/ha (winter autumn season). SSC10474 maize culitivar had high and stable yield through both seasons compared to other cultivas and was equivalent to the control.
