Research results of some import lily varieties growing in media types winter - spring crop in Quang Binh province

The experiment was conducted in 2012 - 2013, winter - spring crop in Dong Hoi - Quang Binh province, to aim to select one lily variety to be the best: good growth and development, high yield, good quality, high economic efficiency and determined one media type for growing lily variety, which suitable with ecological condition in winter - spring crop in Quang Binh. This experiment including 3 varieties Sorbonne, Belladonna, Concador were imported from Holland country, which grown 3 different media types (GT). GT1: Alluvium soil mixed with manure, rate 3:1 (Control); GT2: Alluvium soil mixed with coconut powder and manure rate 1:2:1; GT3: Alluvium soil mixed with burning husk and manure rate 1:2:1. Complex 2 two factors, total have 9 treatments corresponding with different treatments from I to IX; reduplicate 3 times. The experiment was grown in flower pots (black color); (height x width) pot sizes = (30 X 40) cm; 3.0 bulbs/pot; 36 bulbs/treatment; tracking 10 pots/treatment. The results were show that: all 3 Sorbonne, Belladona, Concador varieties have been good growth and develoment in winter - spring crop climate condition at Quang Binh province, of which Sorbonne variety was selected t0 be the best: short growth term (77 - 79 days after planting); the length of plant 70.70 - 80.53 cm, 36.27- 40.43 leaves/plant, high bud number/plant and high maketable flower rate/plant 76.56 - 89.06%; high type of branch number one and number two 40.0 - 83.33%, good quality (beautiful colour, attractive, high flower endurance 8.57 - 10.60 days after cut flowers and 11 .97-15.43 days in natural condition); highest economic efficiency (37,583 VND/pot). All 3 media types have affected to the growth and development; bud number/plant; flower number and maketable flower rate/plant; maketable flower branchs and good resistance to pests and diseases; of which GT3 (Alluvium soil mixed with burning husk and manure follow rate 1:2:1) was selected to be the best; highest economic efficiency and easily utilization of materials at local./.
