The study focuses on finding a suitable depth of fertilizer deposition in combination with deep chisel ploughing of soil during cultivation of sugar beet. It assesses the effect of different variants of fertilizer deposition (Amofos and Lovostart) on the main production indicators of harvested sugar beet roots and on the content of selected nutrients in leaves during vegetation. The highest root yield (94.72 t/ha) was achieved with the use of 150 kg/ha of Lovostart placed in the depth of 20 cm during deep chisel ploughing. Suitable depth of fertilizer deposition from the point of view of root yield was 20 cm. The highest yield of white sugar (17.26 t/ha) was achieved with the use of Amofos fertilizer deposed in 20 cm which correlates with high root yield and high sugar content. The second best yield of white sugar (16.29 t/ha) was observed on variant with Lovostart applied to the depth of 20 cm. This one-year experiment implies that the targeted application of NP fertilizer deposed in the depth of 20 cm during the autumn soil processing by Terraland with Ferti-Box has a positive effect on yield and technological characteristics of sugar beet in comparison with superficial application of fertilizer.
