Conifer sawlog and birch veneerlog quality change during storage | Skujkoku zāģbaļķu un bērza finierkluču kvalitātes izmaiņas uzglabājot

Inglés. Roundwood in the storage process is exposed to external factors that affect their quality. The task of our research was to evaluate the development of quality changes for high value roundwood (sawlog, veneer log) during the storage period and to develop recommendations for the storage of roundwood for economically important tree species in the territory of Latvia. Sapwood discoloration development and its’ affecting factors were analysed in the studies from 2014 till 2017. Control cuttings for determination of sapwood discoloration development were carried out for 12 pine storages, 12 spruce storages and 16 birch storages. Analysing the pine roundwood prepared by gasoline chainsaw at the time of fungal spore dispersal in the air, it can be concluded that the sapwood discoloration evolves when the sum of the average daily temperatures reaches 420°C. For roundwood prepared by harvester sapwood discoloration evolves when the sum of the daily average temperature reaches 235°C. The results obtained in the study show that under similar conditions discoloration (blue stain) of pine roundwood prepared by gasoline chainsaw will develop later and thus it can be concluded that the damage of the side surface of the roundwood affects the development of blue stain, which depends on the drying of the roundwood during the summer season.

Letón. Apaļie kokmateriāli to uzglabāšanas procesā tiek pakļauti ārējiem faktoriem, kas ietekmē to kvalitāti. Mūsu pētījuma uzdevums bija novērtēt augstvērtīgo apaļo kokmateriālu (zāģbaļķi, finierkluči) koksnes vainu attīstību uzglabāšanas laikā un izstrādāt rekomendācijas apaļo kokmateriālu uzglabāšanai saimnieciski nozīmīgām koku sugām Latvijas teritorijā. Aplievas sēņu bojājumu attīstība un to ietekmējošie faktori apaļiem kokmateriāliem tika vērtēti no 2014. līdz 2017. gadam. Kontrolzāģējumi aplievas sēņu bojājumu attīstības novērtēšanai veikti no priedes, egles un bērza apaļo kokmateriālu krautnēm. Pētījumu gaitā tika secināts, ka būtiskākie aplievas sēņu bojājumu (iekrāsojuma) attīstību ietekmējošie faktori uzglabāšanas laikā ir zāģbaļķu un finierkluču sagatavošanas vieds, uzglabāšanas ilgums un meteoroloģiskie apstākļi. Balstoties uz gaisa temperatūras normu, aplievas sēņu bojājumu attīstība iespējama no aprīļa līdz oktobrim. Šajā laikā maksimālais apaļo kokmateriālu uzglabāšanas ilgums svārstās robežās no 12 līdz 44 dienām. Meža apsaimniekotājiem un mežizstrādātājiem, zinot apaļo kokmateriālu kvalitātes izmaiņu ietekmējošo faktoru robežvērtības, būs iespējams precīzāk plānot mežizstrādes tehnoloģisko procesu, izvairoties (vai minimizējot) no apaļo kokmateriālu kvalitātes pazemināšanās. Pētījuma rezultātiem ir praktiska nozīme kokmateriālu loģistikas plānošanā.
