Performance properties of wood and wood based materials | Koksnes un tās materiālu ekspluatācijas īpašības

Inglés. Performance properties of wood and wood based materials Four research topics were discussed in the last reporting period to obtain new knowledge about wood and wood based products. Two main study directions can be derived: wood bases light weight panel (CWM – Cellular Wood Material and LSB – Lightweight Stabilized Block board) design and properties and effectiveness of locally available wood coating systems against water absorption. Timber with grooves is a raw material for cellular CWM and further for various sandwich panel design. Since 2007 when cellular wood material production technology and furniture panels were patented several researchers work with experimental, analytical and numerical analyses of the cellular wood material properties for structural application. The goal of the initial study was to summarize main knowledge about cellular wood material physical and mechanical properties and their potential improvement possibilities. Significant amount of studies were carried out to determine physical and mechanical properties of cellular wood material and cellular wood material products to estimate cellular wood material as structural material. Since significant decrease of mechanical and some physical properties were observed, compared to solid timber, CWM covering with to layer material and supplementation with other building materials was found as effective method for CWM property improvement [1].

Letón. Atskaites periodā veikti četri pētījumi, lai noskaidrotu un apkopotu koksnes un tās materiālu fizikālās un mehāniskās īpašības. No veiktajiem pētījumiem var izdalīt divus galvenos pētījumu virzienus: vieglo plātņu (KŠM - koksnes šūnveida materiāla un LSB - Lightweight Stabilized Blockboard) īpašību izpēti un apkopošanu, kā arī koksnes apdares materiālu efektivitātes novērtēšanu pret ūdens absorbciju. Koksnes šūnveida materiāla izgudrošana tiek uzskatīta par vienu no nedaudzajām pēdējās desmitgades kokapstrādes industrijas inovācijām. Tādējādi sākotnējā pētījuma mērķis bija apkopotas desmit gadu laikā gūtās atziņas par koksnes šūnveida materiāla īpašībām un to uzlabošanas iespējām ar aplīmēšanas paņēmienu. Otrā pētījuma mērķi - noskaidrot koksnes šūnveida materiāla ūdens tvaika pārvades raksturlielumus un analītiski novērtēt no KŠM izgatavotu ārsienas paneļu kondensācijas risku būvniecības vajadzībām. Trešā pētījuma mērķis – jauna tehnoloģiskā risinājuma vieglo plātņu LSB īpašību novērtēšana un salīdzināšana ar citiem koksnes bāzes plātņu materiālie. Pēdējā pētījumā apskatīts jautājums par tirdzniecībā pieejamo apdares materiālu efektivitāti pret ūdens absorbciju. Pētījumu paraugu izgatavošana veikta galvenokārt rūpnieciski. Paraugu pārbaudes veiktas, balstoties uz standartizētām, Eiropā atzītām testēšanas metodēm.
