A new mineral concentrate made by a special method from bone tissues of farm animals is presented in this paper. Mineral concentrate constitutes a concentrated source of calcium and phosphorus and is an alterna-tive to tricalcium phosphate. Samples collected from seventeen experimental batches of mineral concentrate were tested to study the chemical composition and the degree of variation of the parameters of calcium and phosphorus content. Laboratory studies showed that more than 70% of the analyzed samples contain calcium in the range of 380 to 420 g/kg and phosphorus – in the range of 120 to 163 g/ kg. It was established that the average calcium con-tent in the mineral concentarate is 39.6% and phosphorus content is 14.5%. Comparative studies indicate a higher solubility of phosphorus in 2% citric acid in the mineral concentrate when compared with tricalcium phosphate.
