Botanical composition and quality of forage determined from natural grasslands of Gornja Pešter altitude 1 200 to 1300 m. This area is characterized by typical climatic conditions with long and cold winters, lower temperature and short vegetation periods. In these researches was collected and analyzed 45 biomass samples from natural grasslands. Natural grasslands from this area have an unsatisfactory botanical composition and and low quality of dry matter. 37.78% analyzed samples showed low dry matter quality, less than 8% of the crude protein content.
