The study was conducted in order to determine the performance of some corn varieties when they were grown as the main product in Ödemiş-İzmir and Kiraz-İzmir conditions. This study was conducted in randomized complete block design with two locations and 4 replications. Eight different varieties and promising genotypes of hybrid corn (Inove, DKC-955, Impacto, Somma, Maximus, Burak, 31Y43, Reserve) are used in this research. Moreover, quality characteristics such as plant height, cob height, cob weight, scape weight, leaf weight, green forage yield, protein content, cellulose content, dry matter content and dry matter yield were investigated.According to the research, average results of plant height, cob height, cob weight, leaf weight, scape weight, green forage yield and dry matter yield were ranged in Ödemiş and Kiraz locations 3,26-3,76 m; 1,374-2,075 m; 0,16-0,32 kg; 0,31-0,45 kg; 0,57-0,96 kg, 10632,6-13477,5 kg and 3608,11-2479,72 kg/da, respectively. Dry matter content, protein and cellulose contents of the corn silage varieties in Ödemiş location ranged as % 20,6-29,0 , % 6,16-8,61 , % 25,7-33,4, respectively.According to the obtained results, promising varieties, Somma and Inove have shown high dry matter yield and high silage quality. Therefore, Somma promising genotypes and Inove variety can recommended for Ödemiş and Kiraz locations.Key words: Ödemiş corn silage, Kiraz corn silage, quality of corn silage, adaptation trial of corn, varieties and promising genotypes of hybrid corn , dry matter yield
