Johor National Park Corporation (JNPC) was established in 1989 following the gazettement of the Johor National Park Corporation Enactment 1989. The objective of this establishment is to manage and supervise development planned for the Johor National Park. It is lead by a Board of Directors and assisted by a Technical Committee. While the post of Director is permanent, all other posts in JNPC are on a contractual basis. Currently, Endau Rompin National Park is gazetted under Johor National Park Corporation jurisdiction. This park is located at the Johor-Pahang State Border. This area is divided into two management zones, i.e. visitor zone and conservation zone in the management and development plan. There exists a site office at the entry point at Kampung Peta, known as `Staging Point`, whereby all reservations, boat and guide arrangements are made at this point. The Danish Cooperation for Environment and Development (DANCED) allocates funds to JNPC for the establishment of the Nature Education and Research Centre (NERC) at the Endau Rompin National Park.
