One hundred of 19 day weaning piglets were used in the experiment. The trial was divided into three phases during the total eight weeks. Phase 1 and 2 were two weeks. Phase 3 was four weeks. The crude protein contents of diet from phase 1 to 3 were 20%, 18% and 16% respectively. Five treatments involved in the experiment. Treatment 1 was control treatment. Each treatment from treatments 2 to 5 added one of commercial products of acids respectively. There was no significantly difference on feed intake among treatments (p greater than 0.05), although treatments 2 and 3 had better intake on average than others during 1-4 weeks. Pigs in treatment 2,3 and 4 had better intake on averag thanothers. Piglets in treatment 4 always had significantly better weight gain than control and treatment 2 during 1 to 4, 5 to 8, and 1 to 8 weeks (p less than 0.05). All the four acidifier feeds had 2.5%, 14.6%, 20.8%, and 11.5% respectively better weight gain than control treatment. The experiment results also shown that all acidifier diet had less drop on feed intake during shift from previous phase to a new phase diets. Piglets in all acidifier diets had more drinking behaviour than control group.
