This study was conducted under temperature and light controlled conditions at climate room belonging to Yüzüncü Yıl University Agriculture Faculty Field Crops Department. In this study, it is conducted that constituting on five bread wheat varieties (Doğu-88, Altay-2000, Bezostaya 1, Alparslan ve Tir mixed population line), two different watering level (watering 40% drought and 60% control rate of field capacity) with the application of two different salicylic acid dose (0.1 mM kg-1 SA and 1.0 mM kg-1 SA) and according to randomized block design as four replication with 80 flowerpots having 4 kg soil in each pot. In this research, at wheat varieties; the characteristics of germination rate, germination strength, flag leaf area, osmotic potential, membrane permeability, chorophyll content, leaf water retention capacity, relative water content, shoot fresh weight, shoot dry weight, root fresh weight, root dry weight and sodium potassium rate were determined. The plants were uprooted at the beginning of the heading in order to measure the weight with carrying out the necessary measurements until the heading process begins. When establishing statistical variances in respect to germination rate, germination strength, flag leaf area and chlorophyll content among the species used, it is also determined statistically variances at all characteristics among the applications except the sodium potassium rate. In regard to the examinated characteristics, the applications of salicylic acid on Bezostaya1, Doğu-88, Alparslan, Altay 2000 varieties and Tir wheat population line had positive effect to drought tolerant and it was shown variences in terms of salicylc acid doses (0.1 mM kg-1 ve 1.0 mM kg-1). The criteria that negatively effected according to control applications with drought conditions, in general they were positively effected from the application of salicylic acid.
