This publication is a sequel to the study Microbiology of brewing – Lactic acid bacteria and cultivation methods for their detection (Matoulková and Kubizniaková, 2015: Kvasny Průmysl 61(3): 76-88). Growth was monitored in a set of 53 strains of Lactobacillus and Pediococcus on solidifi ed culture media, e.g. MRS agar and its various modifi cations, the media Raka-Ray, NBB, UBA, etc. The study also included some liquid media. Photographic documentation is supplied of colonies of selected strains grown on different solid media. The real usefulness of the media in brewery plant laboratory was evaluated.
