A study on the treatability of sesenduk using boron preservative was carried out. The treatability of sesenduk using boron preservative was found to be very easy with a loading of 430 m³ and the retention of 19.3 kg/m³ at 19.3% moisture wood. This study shows that sesenduk can be treated using boron preservative. A chemical analysis of the sugar and starch content of sesenduk was also undertaken. The determination of sugar content was done using the high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technique, whereas for starch content, a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer was used. The contents of sugar and starch in sesenduk are 0.4% w/w and 0.3% w/w respectively.
