Investigation of the fate of nutrients in the Skadar Lake water | Испитивање судбине нутријената у води Скадарског језера

A single linear regression analysis of a data series for ortho-phosphorus, ammonia- and nitrate-nitrogen in the water of Skadar Lake, at the confidence level 95%, was performed. The total examination period is 1990-2014, although for some parameters and measuring stations, it is shorter. In order to examine the fate of nutrients in the lake water, data on nutrient`scontent at measuring stations Kamenik, Plavnica, Podhum, Centar and Ckla were selected. The possible transfer of nutrients from the northern zone, which is under pressure from anthropogenic pollution, to the pelagic of lakes and outflow Bojana, where there is no anthropogenic emission, was investigated. Phosphorus moves from the pelagic zone, then from the Podhum zone, to the Ckla, ammonia nitrogen moves from the Podhum and Kamenik zone (not from the Center) to the Ckla zone, and for nitrates, due to local transformation, the transfer is predominant only from the Center zone, to Ckla.
