A new naked barley variety "Muanbori"

The new naked barley variety, Muanbori (Mogpo 53), was delayed from the cross between F1 (Sedohadaka x Jangjubaekwa) and Yamadehadaka, which was made in 1971 by the breeding team of Mogpo Branch Station, Crop Experiment Station, Office of Rural Development, Muan, Korea [R.]. New recommended naked barley variety, Muanbori, has good agronomic characteristics such as wet-soil tolerance, cold resistance, and is high yielding compared with the other leading varieties. The variety is well adapted to upland field, mountainous areas, and paddy field following rice production.
