Growth performance of nursery plants [tea] in soils infested with the root-lesion nematode, Pratylenchus loosi and treated with Dazomet 98 percent G and methyl bromide
1982
Gnanapragasam, N.C. (Tea Research Inst. of Sri Lanka, Talawakelle)
Although in terms of controlling the eelworm population both methyl bromide and Dazomet 98 percent G was found to be equally effective, growth of plants growing in soils treated with the granular fumigant, Dazomet 98 percent G was found to be far superior to those growing in soil treated with methyl bromide. Dazomet 98 percent G (Basamid) has the added advantage of being able to be handled with ease whilst fumigating and is easy to store as well
