Yield of rainfed transplanted rice as affected by cultivar fertilizer level and weeding regime [study conducted in the Philippines]
1982
Elliot, P.C. | Navarez, D.C. | Moody, K.
Dry weed weights at 30 days after transplanting (DAT) were similar in fertilized and unfertilized plots of IR 52 rice (Oryza sativa L.). Wagwag rice did not respond to weeding and to 30 kg N/ha fertilizer application. IR 52 responded well to fertilizer and weed control. The lowest yield was obtained from the unweeded, unfertilized plot, and the highest yield from the plot that received 60 kg N/ha and was weeded once or twice. The yield of IR 52 was significantly higher with two hand weedings than one hand weeding at 30 kg N/ha nut not at 60 kg N/ha
