The absorption, distribution and excretion of arsenic were investigated in goats and laying hens with the aid of 76AS The results indicated that hens incorporated 76AS considerably faster than the goats. The preferential incorporation of arsenic into skin, hair and feathers may be important for the identification of As deficiency as well as As exposure. Moreover, the high incorporation demonstrated into epididymis, ovary and eggs could also be important in connection with disorders of reproduction. (author)
