Physiologically active phosphoric compounds distribution in sugarcane in relation to phosphoric nutrition [study conducted in the Philippines]
1982
Ortega, E. | Musienko, N.N.
The content of nucleic acids, phospholipids, macroenepgy phosphorus, phytin, hexosephosphate esters and inorganic phosphorus were determined in sugar cane plants of the Cuban variety Ja 60-5, which received three different levels of phosphorus fertilization (0, 150 and 250 kg P2O5/ha). Inorganic phosphorus (Pi), with a mean value of 17.06 mg P/100 g fresh weight was the fraction with the highest concentration. The majority of phosphoric compounds with the exception of phytin and Pi were found at their highest conc. in the meristimatic tissue. Phosphoric compounds concentration are higher in leaf blades than in leaf sheaths, internodes or roots.
