The effect of six air velocities, namely, 230, 400 and 600 feet per minute (fpm) applied constantly and the high-low air velocity combination of 600/300 and 600/400 and 600/500 fpm on drying rate and quality of 25.0 mm thick plain-and quartersawn apitong (Dipterocarpus grandiflorus Blanco) was investigated. In general, the quality of the dried boards was not adversely affected by the application of higher air circulation
