Efficacy of some insecticides against mango leaf hopper complex on mango (Mangifera indica Linn) [of Bangladesh]

The efficacy of some insecticides was tested against mango leaf hoppers (Idioscopus spp.) in a field trial at the Horticultural Base, Noorbagh, Gazipur of Bangladesh during February to June, 1986. Insecticides Ripcord 10 EC, Cymbush 10 EC and Azodrin 40 WSC - 1.00 ml, 1.00 ml and 3.00 ml per litre of water respectively were used as a full cover spray on mango trees to be treated with the help of a high volume power sprayer. Among the insecticides, Ripcord 10 EC and Cymbush 10 EC were found significantly superior to control followed by Azodrin 40 WSC.
