The first study (Gal and Buerges 1985, 1987) reported on the distribution, economical importance and swarming of the oak acron moth, Laspeyresia splendana. A comparative examination of some observing methods that are applicable in case of swarming insects has also been treated in that study. The present work gives an account of results of ten years bionomical and ecological observations.
