An experiment was conducted to determine the most suitable stylo variety under acidic marginal grassland on the basis of herbage yield, chemical composition and resistance to anthracnose. Data gathered showed significantly higher (P.05) DM yield from variety Seca. Efficient cutting management was obtained on early cutting (every 45 and 90 days) except variety Cook where the best DM yield was obtained from every 90 days and twice a year cutting. In terms of seed yield, the highest of 112 kg/ha was obtained from variety Cook, followed by 26 kg/ha and 23 kg/ha of varieties Seca and Verano, respectively. Method of seeding and cutting, however, did not show significant effect. On the dry matter basis, significantly higher (P.05) CP was obtained from twice a year cutting (13.17%), followed by 12.05%, 11% and08747.20% from 90 days, 45 days and once a year cutting, respectively. Management had no significant effect on crude protein content of the 3 stylo varieti
