shThe trials were carried out over many years with liming of light soil in four-years cycle (1972, 1976, 1980, 1984). Forms of calcium used were: lime, magnesium-lime and serpentinite. After 13 years no changes in soil texture were observed. Liming caused increase of pH about 5.5. The highest content of H2O-Mg, CH3COONH4-Mg and total Mg was found in the soil where magnesium-lime was applied. Significant increase of yield of rye and oats seeds and potato tubers was also connected with magnesium-lime applica
