The field experiment was carried out on light soils on the basis of four-field static rotation. The influence of sprinkling, four plant densities (60, 80, 90 thous./ha) and four fertilizer rates (0, 80, 160 and 240 kg N/ha) on the yield1451of fodder beets of Poly-past variety was investigated. While sprinkling the moisture content in the soil was kept at the level of 70% of field capacity. In dry years under the influence of sprinkling the increase of yield (roots and leaves) was about 100%. Total yield was the highest at the plant density equal to 80-90 thous. plants/ha. The effect of fertilization on the yield was independent of ye
