The stability of coniferous stands is mostly affected by: shape and dimensions of tree crowns, th1976eir correlation with root system, density afforestation, quality class, age and cultivation and extirpation operations. The fir tree and spruce proved to be equally labile in case of predisposition to damage caused by wind and snow formations on tree branches, if a stand is composed only of these two species.
