In two meadow experiments conducted on soils differing in physico-chemical properties the autho2048r compared (during a three-year period) the effect of a single application of 0.45 kg Co per ha with a fertilization of 0.15 kg Co/ha each year. The application of the cobalt microfertilizer had no effect on the yield of meadow sward. The botanical composition of the vegetation did not depend on cobalt application either. Cobalt fertilization caused a marked increase of cobalt content mass. The effect of this fertilization depended on the way of application of the microfertilizer, time of contact with soil and environment conditions. The after-effect of applying the cobalt microfertilizer was higher and extended over a longer period (six years) on the light soil which was strongly
