hThe supplementary irrigation led to a worsening of the fodder value of the yield as it resulted in a reduction of the dry matter, protein and starch content. Under the effect of high potassium rates an increase of the content of sugar, protein and ash elements in beet roots and potato tubers occurred. The supplementary sprinkler irrigation led to a decrease of the N content and to a considerable growth of the K content in beet leaves and potato tubers. The fertilization with high potassium rates increased the content of this element in the yield, particularly in sprinkler irrigation treatme
