Sugars production by bacteria and actinomycetes isolated from soil, rhizosphere and mycorrhizosphere of pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) [Arthrobacter]

The bacteria associated with the root zone of pine did not secrete sugars into the growing medium but, nevertheless, traces of sugars were found in the post-culture medium. More sugar-releasing strains were found among those inhabiting the soil than among those from the mycorrhizosphere
