The influence of the speed of the sower on the sowing canopy and depth, as well as distribution of seed among the sowing devices was investigated. The investigation was performed with first class seed of the wheat variety Baranjka. The following was concluded: maintenance of the seeding standard of the tested sower is satisfactory, but seed distribution among the seeding devices is not even. Wi1019th increased working speed the number of ejected seeds in the depth shallower than the required one increases and the increase is considerably higher in the wheel tracks of the sower. With increased working speed the number of seeds ejected on the ground surface increases both in the tracks and out of them.
