High quality rayon from dissolving pulp with different alpha cellulose content
1985
Pribadi, T. (Balai Besar Selulosa, Bandung (Indonesia). Balai Derivat Selulosa dan Polusi)
The difference in alpha cellulose content and in degree of polymerization of the pulps significantly affected the stretchability and the properties of the fibres produced. The higher the alpha cellulose content, the better the stretchability and the strength of fibres. Fibres with low elongation and high ratio of wet strength to dry strength, were obtained by the addition of 1 percent polyethylene glycol and 2 percent diethylamine based on cellulose content to the viscose.
