The following fungi Fusarium solani, F. oxysporum, Aspergillus flavus, Alternaria terreus, A. niger, A. alternata and Ulocladium botrytis occur in Iraq. Culture filtrate of these fungi affected the protein and oil content of treated soybean seed. The protein percentage of the seed soaked with culture filtration of the A. terreus, U. botrytis, F. oxysporum, F. solani has been raised from 32.15% for control to 34.34, 33.73, 33.00, 32.83% respectively. However other fungi caused reduction in protein percentage. The oil content was raised by treatment with culture filtrate of the fungi A. alternata, A. niger and A. flavus from 26.62% of the control to 27.36, 27.18, 26.96% respectively. The culture filtrates of the fungi caused significant reduction in germination percentage, of the seed when soaked for 1,2,3, hours and 16, 20, 24 hours. U. botrytis, F. solani and F. oxysporum reduced percentage of germination of soybean seed tested in the soil
