Results from harvest time experiments, were used together with meteorological data to estimate effects of weather on nutritional and phenological development of timothy, using simple and multiple regression. Crude protein content was more closey associated with phenological development than with sums of different weather variables and time. In the first crop, digestibility was most closely associated with the temperature sum, but with the phenological development in the second crop. Phenological development was most closely associated with the temperature sum in the first crop and with the number of days from onset of growth in the second crop. The effects of weather variables on daily decline in nutritional value and daily change in phenological development were estimated.
