Effect of foliar nutrition with urea combined with Cu [Copper], Zn [Zinc] or Irral on growth and yield of wheat plants growth under different levels of soil nitrogen fertilization [Egypt]
1984
Saad, A.O.M. (National Research Centre, Cairo (Egypt)) | Ashour, N.I. | Nour, T.A.
In sandy clay loam soil wheat plants cv. Sakha-16 were soil fertilized with 40, 60 and 80 kg N/fed. in the form of urea and foliar sprayed with either urea alone or in combination with Cu or Zn or Cu + Zn or sprayed with Irral. Therefore two experiments were carried out in 1984/1985 and 1985/1986 seasons at Shalakan-Kalubia Goverorate. Yield of grains and straw as well as protein content in grains were significantly increased by increasing N-level from 40 to 60 kg/fed. Further increase in N-level up to 80 kg/fed. had no significant effect on grain yield and its protein content, whereas it significantly depressed the yield of straw.
