Two field experiments were conducted during two growing seasons at the experimental farm, Faculty of Agriculture, El-Menia University. The experiments aimed to study the combined effect of nitrogen sources (ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulphate and urea) and certain nematocides, Temik "Aldicarb" used as preplanting treatment to the soil and Vydate "Oxamyl" sprayed on the plants twice on growth, yield, fiber quality and nutrient content in cotton plants. All growth and yield parameters as well as nitrogen and phosphorus content in leaves were greatly affected by nitrogen fertilization when compared with the untreated control. On the other hand, the sources of nitrogen had no effect on dry weight per plant, fiber quality and potassium content in leaves. The highest values were attained by using ammonium nitrate followed by ammonium sulphate and urea in decreasing order.
