The embryonic studies during two succeccive seasons proved that number of embryos/seed and percentage of polyemboryonic seeds showed significant responses to fruit weight, worked species and zone of plantation. The highest embryos/seed and percentage of polyembryonic seeds were found in Balady orange and the lowest in sour orange in both zones. With the fruit weight (according confidence limits) the average number embryos/ seed percentage of polyembryonic seeds were highest in large fruit as compared with medium and small ones within citrus species and the two zones.
