The study of changes in the species composition and the occurrence of nematodes and acanthocephala of wild and domestic duck in individual months of the year has revealed, that the majority of the nematode and acanthocephala species, found in wild duck, parasitized also in domestic duck. Nine nematode and one acanthocephala species have been found, seven and one of them, respectively, were common for both host groups. The most diverse scale of the nematode species in wild and domestic duck was observed in September, the lowest number of species was recorded in December and January. In wild duck the occurrence of acanthocephala culminated in August and September and that of domestic duck in summer. Frequency of occurrence of individual nematode and acanthocephala species throughout the year in wild duck was often different from that of domestic duck. The nematode and acanthocephala fauna in domestic duck is not unambigously influenced by the occurrence of these helminths in wild duck in some geographical region. The way of breeding of domestic ducks (large-scale farms, private yards, access to water) is more important.
