Under this project, USDA's Economic Research Service (ERS) works with the Ministry of Economy of the CSFR, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition of the Slovak Republic to develop the institutional capability to carry out the economic analysis to support the emergence of a market economy. ERS assists to develop 2 analytical programs: a commodity study Situation and Outlook Reporting Program and a Policy Analysis Program. The project cooperation is scheduled for 1990 - 1992 and involves experts from the Czech and Slovak agricultural economic institutions and from the agricultural scientific and technical information institutes.
