In the two-factorial permanent field trial at Probstheida near Leipzig after nine years with crop rotation (five combinations of maize, soybean and potato) combinated with four weed control measures (chemical, unweeded/chemical, mechanical, weedfree) was sowed oat, cv. Gramena, to regulate the weed community. The oat cropping did not shift the level of weed abundance and the seed bank. The weed biomass production on the oat cultivation was influenced by crop rotation and weed control. The oat yield parameters did not show the same effects
