New herbicide formulations containing diflufenican. Results and experiences on weed control from spring treatment in cereals

Results of field trials carried out during three years with two new herbicides mixtures containing Diflufenican are reported and discussed in the present paper. Orkan is a three-way-mixture of diflufenican, ioxynil and MCPP-P. This product will be used on broadleaf weed control in summer- and winter cereals. The possibilities for straight use and tankmixes with other herbicides are discussed. Azur, a ready to use mixture containing diflufenican, ioxynil and isoproturon will be used for control of grass and broadleaf weeds. This product has a wide range of sensitive weed species. Only against Galium aparine efficacy is not sufficient. In further trials the use of tankmixes with other herbicides will be investigated
