In these resistance tests against Typhula incarnata Lasch ex. Fr., which were carried out with the help of artificial inoculations, distinct differences were established regarding the susceptibility between the examined domestic kinds of winter barley. The majority of the kinds of winter barley examined proved to be highly susceptible. Some of the least infested kinds of winter barley were 'Borwina', 'Corona', 'Catinka', 'Frank', 'Frineta', 'Grete', 'Mammut', 'Nixe', 'Magie' and 'Marinka', which are also to be thoroughly recommended for cultivation in close rotations of crops and in areas of infestation. Reference was also made to other possibilities of combatting Typhula rot
