The downy mildews - an overview of recent research progress
1994
Lebeda, A. | Schwinn, F.J.
Downy mildews (Peronosporaceae) are characterized by very large heterogeneity and complicated host-parasite interactions on different levels of biological organization. During last decade, considerable progress in research of downy mildews has been achieved. These novel information are reviewed from the viewpoint of general biology. geographical distribution and economic importance, taxonomy and evolution, occurrence of new species, life and infection cycle, genetics and genetic variability, host-parasite interaction on molecular, cellular, individual and population level, chemical and integrated control. Priorities for future research are pointed out
